Ortigia, Marine Caves, and Plemmirio/Pillirina Tour (2 hours)
During this tour, we will see:
- The small port of Siracusa, called Porto Santa Lucia, named after our patron saint Saint Lucy
- The monument to the fallen
- The Dolphin Rock with its blue-colored cove, where you can start to glimpse the unique colors of the Siracusa seabed
- Continuing on, we'll visit the Capuchin Cave, the Coral Cave (also known as the "Ciauli" Cave), the Lovers' Cave (shaped like a heart), and the Spirit Cave
- Next, we'll head to the Gulf of the Two Friars, where you'll admire and discover the legend of the two rocks and see two other rocks shaped like a camel and an elephant, with a breathtaking rocky and sandy seabed
- Continuing the tour to Plemmirio (specifically, the Pillirina beach), a natural area, you'll admire:
- The minaret
- An abandoned tuna farm
- A mussel, clam, and oyster farm, one of the largest on the eastern coast of Sicily
- Returning to the coast of Ortigia, along the Levante waterfront, you'll admire:
- The Church of the Holy Spirit
- The Academy of Architecture
- The Maniaci Castle
- Entering one of the largest natural ports in the world, the Great Port of Siracusa, you'll see the Arethusa Fountain and the Marina
- To conclude, the magnificent bridges of Siracusa:
- The Umbertino Bridge
- The Santa Lucia Bridge
- The New Bridge, which connect Siracusa to Ortigia, creating a link between the old and new cities
